 The sea offers in ALTEA an exceptional scenario for practising water sports. Altea has two marinas: The Greenwchi Marina of Campomanes and the Yacht Club, where one can take swimming sailing, rowing surfing and scuba diving lessons. One of the most important competitions in the whole of the Mediterranean si the "200 miles in 2" which has the route Altea-ibiza-altea organised by tghe Nautical Club of Altea.
GOLF is another one of the various sports that can be practised at the D. Cayo Golf Club wiht 9 holes, located at the side of the Sierra Bernia Mountain. It's equiped with excellent facilities such as the social Club , swimming-pool, golf lessons...
The range of sports facilities is completed with the modern Altea Tennis Club which offers tennis and padel courts.
Beside the river Algar is the MUNICIPAL SPORTS COMPLEX with two football piches, a covered pavilion, tennis court, Valencia Pelota Court and swimming pool. You can also enjoy cycling tours, fishing and horse riding. Hikers and mountaineers have a point of reference in the Sierra Bernia.
